Littleport Rangers was founded in 2009 and in its short history has reached the chartered standard, which is the FA’s benchmark for grass roots football. As well as providing a fun and safe environment for children to play football, we provide FA qualified coaches with CRB checks, child welfare and first aid certificates. Our aim is to focus on player development with age appropriate training sessions. We currently have three teams in the Cambs FA mini soccer league – writes Nathan Mitchell.
The U11’s coached by Billy Holmes, are sponsored by Ely Clean and Rumbles. The U9’s are coached by Nathan Mitchell and are sponsored by Manit Contractors and Niagri Engineering and the U8’s coached by Andrew Pendle are sponsored by Mil- Ken Travel and Edward Thackray UK Ltd.
All our teams have got off to a great start this season with some big wins and great performances in the opening games.
We play in the Cambs mini soccer leagues in different age groups. Most of our players are from Littleport with three at the moment from Ely, Pymoor and Mepal.
Anybody who would like to get involved with the club, including playing, sponsorship, fundraising or running a new age group, don’t hesitate to contact us.
We are a growing club, and we have just relocated our summer training and home games to Pymoor Rec, giving us more space and access to some great facilities, and winter training being held at the Ely Astro turf pitch on Downham Road allows us to train through the winter months.
We train on Wednesday evenings at 6pm.
